Booking is a Breeze:

Pick your package (pro tip: the Full DJ setup is perfect for big spaces and only $500), fill in your info, and lock it in with a down payment. Want to check if your date’s open first? No problem—ask us, and we’ll send you a proposal to reserve your spot.

Your Playlist, Your Vibe:
Once you’re booked, you’ll get a confirmation email and the fun starts. We’ll send you a draft playlist to review—add your must-plays, drop your do-not-plays, and make it your own. The playlist is flexible, so you can keep the energy just right all night.

We Scout the Venue:
Before the big day, we’ll check out your venue (ballroom, gym, wherever) to make sure everything’s set for max sound and lights. We’ll handle the power, layout, and all the logistics so your event runs smooth.

Showtime Setup:
On dance day, pay the rest of your balance and we’ll get to work. Setup usually takes about 90 minutes, but we’ll adjust if needed. Want us in streetwear, church clothes, or full DJ drip? You choose—no extra charge (unless you want tuxes and gowns, then we’ll chat). Booked extras like backdrops or projectors? We’ll set those up too, so your dance looks and sounds next-level.

Behind-the-Scenes Access:
About 15 minutes before start time, we’ll be spinning tunes for sound check. This is your chance for a backstage tour and Insta-worthy pics behind the DJ booth—perfect for student leaders or advisors who booked us.

Song Requests = Open:
When the dance kicks off, everyone can request songs or shoutouts straight from their phones. We keep the playlist fresh and the vibes high, all night long. We won’t be able to every request but will work to fit requests in that match the vibe and keep the beats fire.

The Grand Finale:

  The world has changed quite a bit since I first considered DJing. Back when Utah Valley DJs 1.0 was formed in Ogden Utah most DJs used compact disks and there was a fair debate about the sound quality between a CD and the new and much easier to move around format of MP3. I’ve read that MP3 was successful in condensing music files because it removed all the sound that humans could not hear and just kept the 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz range of sound that most people could hear. Of course, that prompted a debate that is older than MP3 files because audiophiles said they could tell the difference between CDs and MP3 which was just a continuation of an older debate about the difference between tapes and records or whatever the audiophile’s preferred method of listening was. Today this is why online lossless services like Tidal exist. It was the wild west when UVDJs 1.0 was rocking MP3 files for Weber State Parties in the early 2000s.   I remember standing in line at Media Play in Riverdale. It was the day after Christmas and my girlfriend and I were returning some duplicate CDs we got for Christmas. While we stood in line, we shared headphones and listened to Wonderwall by Oasis. As an Army veteran, I’ve stood in my share of lines but I remember that day in Media Play because of the music I listened to. I’m sure that you have a memory of a mundane time or place that you can recall because of the music.  With the rise of digital streaming, music is easy to come by. No more waiting in line to buy CDs, it is all at your fingertips. This is great for DJs because it allows better collaboration in set list creation. Today I could put a set list together and the customer could listen to the entire thing and make changes before their event. Putting Sound on Target

  As an Army veteran with decades of service to our country I've picked up some sayings that the Army uses to describe what it does. One of these sayings is, "Putting steel on target" a phrase that the artillery corps uses to describe what they do on the battlefield. As a DJ I like this idea because putting steel on target really means putting the right effects in the right place at the right time. This is what a DJ does when there is a crowd of people dancing to the music, the lights are creating a fun environment, and the fog machine is changing a regular space into a vibing dance floor. It's during these moments that memories are made. But just like in sports, where momentum can make or break a team, the momentum in your event can be made or broken by the right song selections, light programs and DJ actions.
